让•克林格（Ron Klinger），1941年生于中国上海，父母是奥地利维也纳人。 1946年，他随家人移居澳大利亚悉尼，一直居住至今。
　　1959年，Ron夺得澳大利亚青年国际象棋冠军，后来又赢得过若干次新南威尔士洲的国际象棋青年冠军。
　　Ron在悉尼大学获法律硕士学位，并得到大学法律奖章。他做了两年律师，后来在悉尼Uni法律学校任职了5年，这期间他迷上了桥牌。为了全职教桥牌，他从法律学校辞职。
　　1974年，Ron 娶了Suzie女士，他们生育了两个孩子Ari (1977年生)和Keri (1979生)。不幸的是：Keri在1999年12月英年早逝。
　　除了桥牌以外，Ron喜欢游泳、看电影和读书。
桥牌生涯：
　　1967－1975年，Ron主要和Robert Grynberg搭挡；1975－77年与Les Longhurst搭挡；1977－78年，与Don Evans搭挡；1982－83年与Richard Brightling搭挡；1983－84年与Peter Gill搭挡；1985－93年与David Lilley搭挡。
　　1976、1978、1980年他三次赢得Bols Brilliancy 奖。
　　Ron长期代表澳大利亚队参加国际比赛。1970年获远东队式赛冠军，1976、 1978、1980、1982、1984、1986、1987、1988、1989 (进入百慕大杯半决赛)、1993、2000年他都为国出征。.
　　1985年和1987年他连续夺得两次远东双人赛冠军，1993年赢得南太平洋队式赛冠军。
　　Ron赢得过很多次国家与地区的比赛头衔，包括1999年的全国公开队式赛冠军。
　　Ron平时的主要工作是：教桥牌、写桥牌书和组织桥牌假期活动。
　　Ron是一位著名的桥牌多产作家，出书超过30本。
　　最新的一本书是2000年7月出版的：《Bid Better, MUCH BETTER》。
　　他的许多著作被翻译为多种语言。
　　1991年，他以《Guide To Better Card Play》一书荣获美国桥牌教师协会颁发的年度最佳图书奖。

对RON KLINGER的介绍很不错，我本人也是极其追崇KLINGER先生的。如介绍keri一无将的著作"Bid Better Much Better"不仅是置于我案头的书，也是我与几位搭档在比赛中使用的武器。
